Product Detail

Product introduction:

LW36-72.5 self-energy outdoor HV AC sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker is an outdoor three-phase porcelain column electrical equipment mainly used in AC 50Hz or 60Hz, 72.5kV electricity systems in extremely cold regions (for electric stations in general regions and -42'℃ extremely cold regions). This product can be operated frequently and used as a connection circuit breaker.

Main characteristic:

  • High performance -strong rated circulating ability: strong short circuit breaking ability up to 5500A. 50kA.

  • Long service life -electrical endurance: 50kAx21times; mechanical life: 10000 times.

  • Reliable breaking performance.

  •  Reliable sealing performance; Annual leakage of SF6 gas ≤0.5%.

  • Meeting the requirements of hard running environments -suitable for Class IV polluted environments.

  • Multi-structure forms-usually porcelain column type and handcart type.

Instructions on placing orders :

  • Model and format of the circuit breaker.

  • Rated electrical parameters (voltage, current, breaking current, etc).

  • Working conditions for using (environment temperature, altitude, and environment pollution level).

  • Rated control circuit electrical parameters (Rated voltage of energy-store motor and Rated voltage of opening, closing coil).

  • Names and quantities of spare items needed, parts and special equipment and tools (to be otherwise ordered).

  • The wire connecting direction of the primary upper terminal.

How to choose the right type of circuit breaker?

System Voltage:

  • System Voltage: Determine the working voltage of the system and select a circuit breaker that can withstand the voltage level. High-voltage and ultra-high-voltage systems typically use SF6 gas or oil-immersed circuit breakers.

System Current:

  • System Current: Consider the maximum continuous current and short-circuit current of the system, and select a circuit breaker with sufficient rated current and short-circuit capacity.

Application Environment:

Outdoor Environment:

  • Outdoor Environment: If the circuit breaker will be installed outdoors, consider its performance in resisting pollution, moisture, and windblown sand. Tank-type circuit breakers (such as those using SF6 gas or oil) are generally more suitable for outdoor environments.

Indoor Environment:

  • Indoor Environment: For indoor installations, circuit breakers that are smaller in size and easier to maintain can be chosen, such as vacuum circuit breakers.

Insulating and Arc-Quenching Medium:

SF6 Gas:

  • SF6 Gas: Offers excellent insulating and arc-quenching performance, making it suitable for high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage systems. However, environmental concerns and leakage issues need to be addressed.

Insulating Oil:

  • Insulating Oil: Provides good insulating and heat dissipation properties, but poses fire risks and environmental pollution issues. It is suitable for applications where fire prevention requirements are not stringent.

Vacuum:

  • Vacuum: Suitable for medium and low-voltage systems, offering long life, high reliability, and ease of maintenance.

1. Statistics on Common Faults of Medium-Voltage Switchgear in the Early Operation StageAs project participants, we found during the early operation of a new metro line: 21 sets of power supply equipment were put into use, with a total of 266 accident phenomena in the first year. Among them, 77 faults occurred in medium-voltage switchgear, accounting for 28.9%—significantly higher than faults in other equipment. Statistical analysis shows that major fault types include: protection device s

Practice of Intelligent Switchgear Transformation in the 6kV Working Section of a Power Plant
Practice of Intelligent Switchgear Transformation in the 6kV Working Section of a Power Plant
Due to the long service life and severe aging of the equipment, the switches in the 6kV working section of Unit 6 of a certain power plant have potential safety hazards such as deformed locating pins, abnormal closing positions of the earthing switches, and malfunctions of the protection devices. These hazards have threatened the stable operation of the unit, making the transformation extremely urgent. Meanwhile, considering the recent cases of electric shock casualties involving medium-voltage

What should be noted when using indoor vacuum circuit breakers?
What should be noted when using indoor vacuum circuit breakers?
I. Overvoltage PreventionVacuum circuit breakers excel in interrupting performance, but high overvoltage may occur across inductors during the switching of inductive loads due to abrupt changes in loop current, which requires special attention. When switching small-capacity motors, starting currents are large, so measures like step-down starting should be adopted to limit the current.Transformers with different structures show distinct characteristics: oil-immersed transformers have high impulse

The application of indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers
The application of indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers
In the first half of 2007, as project participants from the Electromechanical Equipment Company of Huaibei Mining Group, we carried out a technical transformation of the 10kV substation in the East Factory Area. Our primary task was to replace the original 10kV disconnector - oil - immersed circuit breaker units with ZN20 indoor high - voltage vacuum circuit breakers.Previously, the SN10 - 10 oil - immersed circuit breakers had been in operation for an extended period, leading to severe oil leak

What are the common faults and corresponding solutions for indoor drawer-type high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers?
What are the common faults and corresponding solutions for indoor drawer-type high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers?
Inability to Push In or Withdraw the Draw-out CarriageThe main manifestation is difficulty in inserting the carriage, which may cause equipment damage and threaten production when severe. The causes and countermeasures are shown in Table 1.The circuit - breaker fails to close. It manifests as the closing core actuating but the circuit - breaker not closing successfully; or the closing core not actuating, which shows that the control circuit of the circuit - breaker is open - circuited or the mec
