Product Detail

Description

The JW6/8 series high-voltage grounding switches feature a three-single-pole configuration integrated with an operating mechanism. Each single pole comprises a base, a pillar insulator, and a conductive rod: the rod is mounted on the base, while the static contact is positioned at the top of the insulator.

Driven by the operating mechanism, the conductive rod rotates upward from the horizontal position via transmission components, latching or inserting into the static contact to achieve switch closure; the opening process reverses this motion.

Main Features:

  • Streamlined Design & Versatility:The product’s simple, rational structure enables effortless assembly, transportation, installation, and debugging, adapting to diverse field requirements.

  • High-Performance Conductive Components:Constructed from high-strength alloy profiles, the conductive rods offer excellent electrical conductivity, robust mechanical strength, and lightweight design. Their superior anti-corrosion properties ensure prolonged service life in harsh environments.

How is the indoor high-voltage AC grounding switch electrically tested?

  • Insulation Resistance Test: Use an insulation resistance tester to measure the insulation resistance of the grounding switch. The insulation resistance value should meet the product standards and relevant electrical codes. Generally, for indoor high-voltage AC grounding switches, the insulation resistance should be in the range of several gigohms or more to ensure good insulation performance during operation and prevent leakage accidents.

  • Loop Resistance Test: Measure the loop resistance of the grounding switch using a dedicated loop resistance tester to check if the contact points are in good condition. The loop resistance value should fall within the specified range. If the loop resistance is too high, it may cause significant heating when current flows through the grounding switch, affecting its normal operation.

  • Grounding Performance Check: Ensure that the grounding connection is reliable and that the grounding resistance meets the requirements. If the grounding resistance is too high, it may prevent the current from being effectively discharged to the ground during a fault, thus failing to provide adequate protection for maintenance personnel and equipment.

What are the reasons for low insulation at the low-voltage side of a dry-type transformer?
Hi everyone, I’m Felix, and I’ve been working in electrical equipment fault repair for 15 years.Over these years, I’ve traveled across factories, substations, and distribution rooms all over the country, troubleshooting and repairing all kinds of electrical equipment. Dry-type transformers are among the most common devices we deal with.Today, a friend asked me:“What does it mean when the low-voltage side of a dry-type transformer has low insulation resistance?”Great

What tests are required for dry-type transformers?
What tests are required for dry-type transformers?
1 Pre - commissioning InspectionAs a front - line tester, before formally commissioning a dry - type transformer, I need to carry out a comprehensive and systematic inspection. First, I conduct a visual inspection of the transformer body and its accessories, carefully checking for mechanical damage or deformation. Then, I check whether the leads of the high - and low - voltage windings are firmly connected and whether the bolt tightening torque meets the standard requirements (usually 40 - 60N&m

What aspects need attention during the installation of dry-type transformers?
What aspects need attention during the installation of dry-type transformers?
1 Pre - installation PreparationAs a front - line installer, I know very well that the preparation work before installing a dry - type transformer must be thorough. First, I will carefully review the design drawings and technical documents, and check one by one the technical parameters such as the model specification, rated capacity, and voltage level of the transformer to ensure they are in full compliance with the design requirements. Then, I will conduct an unpacking inspection of the transfo

What are the causes of dry-type transformers burning out during operation?
What are the causes of dry-type transformers burning out during operation?
1 Fault PhenomenonI am engaged in front - line fault maintenance work, and recently encountered problems with dry - type transformers. Dry - type transformers have a simple structure, are convenient for transportation, and easy for maintenance. They are widely used in power distribution places with relatively high environmental protection requirements. Because of their good fire - resistance, they can be installed in load - center areas to reduce voltage loss and power loss. The property manageme

Method for Automatic Isolation of Customer Equipment Faults by Load Switches in Distribution Networks
1 OverviewDistribution network safety has long been under - addressed, with its automation lagging substation automation . Using 10 kV intervals of existing substations to set line section points meets future grid needs . Configuration of distribution switches, section switches, and protection must match substation outgoing - line protection for reliability. Fault isolation, self - healing, and restoration are key to distribution automation .Scholars have studied smart distribution network fault
