The working principle of a turnkey station with an integrated MV transformer?

High-Voltage Incoming Line

  • Receiving Electrical Energy: High-voltage transmission lines deliver electrical energy to the high-voltage side of the turnkey station.

  • Protection and Control: High-voltage circuit breakers and disconnect switches are used to control the on-off of electrical energy, and lightning arresters are used to protect the equipment from lightning strikes and overvoltages.

Medium-Voltage Transformer

  • Voltage Conversion: The medium-voltage transformer converts high-voltage electrical energy (such as 110 kV, 35 kV) into medium-voltage electrical energy (such as 10 kV, 20 kV).

  • Cooling System: The transformer generates heat during operation, and the cooling system (such as oil cooling, air cooling) ensures that the transformer operates within a safe temperature range.

  • Protection Devices: The transformer is equipped with various protection devices, such as overload protection, short-circuit protection, temperature protection, etc., to ensure the safe operation of the transformer.

Medium-Voltage Outgoing Line

  • Electrical Energy Distribution: Medium-voltage electrical energy is distributed to end users or the next-level distribution system through medium-voltage circuit breakers and disconnect switches.

  • Protection and Control: Medium-voltage circuit breakers are used to control the on-off of electrical energy, and disconnect switches are used for safe isolation during maintenance.

Control and Protection System

  • Monitoring: Relay protection devices and SCADA systems monitor the running state of the system in real time, including parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature.

  • Protection: Relay protection devices quickly cut off the power supply when detecting abnormal situations (such as short-circuit, overload, overvoltage), protecting the safety of equipment and personnel.

  • Automation Control: PLC controllers achieve automation control, automatically adjusting the running state of the system according to preset logic and parameters.

Auxiliary Systems

  • Cooling System: Ensure the normal operation of transformers and other equipment in a high-temperature environment.

  • Ventilation System: Provide a good ventilation environment to prevent equipment from overheating.

  • Lighting System: Provide sufficient lighting to facilitate operation and maintenance.

  • Security System: Include video surveillance, intrusion alarm, etc., to ensure the safety of the station.

What are the reasons for low insulation at the low-voltage side of a dry-type transformer?
Hi everyone, I’m Felix, and I’ve been working in electrical equipment fault repair for 15 years.Over these years, I’ve traveled across factories, substations, and distribution rooms all over the country, troubleshooting and repairing all kinds of electrical equipment. Dry-type transformers are among the most common devices we deal with.Today, a friend asked me:“What does it mean when the low-voltage side of a dry-type transformer has low insulation resistance?”Great

What tests are required for dry-type transformers?
What tests are required for dry-type transformers?
1 Pre - commissioning InspectionAs a front - line tester, before formally commissioning a dry - type transformer, I need to carry out a comprehensive and systematic inspection. First, I conduct a visual inspection of the transformer body and its accessories, carefully checking for mechanical damage or deformation. Then, I check whether the leads of the high - and low - voltage windings are firmly connected and whether the bolt tightening torque meets the standard requirements (usually 40 - 60N&m

What aspects need attention during the installation of dry-type transformers?
1 Pre - installation PreparationAs a front - line installer, I know very well that the preparation work before installing a dry - type transformer must be thorough. First, I will carefully review the design drawings and technical documents, and check one by one the technical parameters such as the model specification, rated capacity, and voltage level of the transformer to ensure they are in full compliance with the design requirements. Then, I will conduct an unpacking inspection of the transfo

What are the causes of dry-type transformers burning out during operation?
What are the causes of dry-type transformers burning out during operation?
1 Fault PhenomenonI am engaged in front - line fault maintenance work, and recently encountered problems with dry - type transformers. Dry - type transformers have a simple structure, are convenient for transportation, and easy for maintenance. They are widely used in power distribution places with relatively high environmental protection requirements. Because of their good fire - resistance, they can be installed in load - center areas to reduce voltage loss and power loss. The property manageme

Method for Automatic Isolation of Customer Equipment Faults by Load Switches in Distribution Networks
1 OverviewDistribution network safety has long been under - addressed, with its automation lagging substation automation . Using 10 kV intervals of existing substations to set line section points meets future grid needs . Configuration of distribution switches, section switches, and protection must match substation outgoing - line protection for reliability. Fault isolation, self - healing, and restoration are key to distribution automation .Scholars have studied smart distribution network fault
